Welcome to Scouts, BSA Troop 626!

We are one of the Chicago Area's largest and most active Scout Troops with over fifty Scouts.  We have a linked Boy's and Girl's Troop, both Troops share the 626 number. Both Troops meet on Monday nights, having seperate meetings.  Both Troops will have several "linked" outings and campouts throughout the year.  We are a chartered organization of Queen of All Saints Basilica.

We are a troop run by scouts for scouts. Our troop operates using the traditional 'patrol method'. Scouts are one of the few organizations for youth where the adults are not 'in charge'. The scouts manage most aspects of our troop operations under the guidance of our adult leaders.

If you are new to the Scouting program, our Troop has the resources to get the most out of your scouting experience.  We can set you on the trail to develop a one of a kind skill set, from thriving outdoors to better understanding what you mean to your community - this is the place.

If you are already familiar with the program or just looking to up the ante on your scouting experience, we have you covered.  We are super active and looking for scouts with the same passion that we have.  We have quarterly Courts of Honor, an active advancement program, great support from Youth leaders as well as adult volunteers and plenty of opportunity for positions of responsibilty that smaller troops cannot alway provide.  Stop by and check out the Troop.

Our Troops camps on a Monthly basis. Both troops will go camping seperatly, but there will be several camp outs together. We spend two weeks over the summer at Camp Ma Ka Ja Wan in Pearson, Wisconsin.  We also have an extensive high adventure program for older scouts, our adventures have led us to over 20 States.  Some of our past trips include Treks in the Atchafalya Basin, the Black Hills, the Boundary Waters Canoe Base, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Davis Mountains in West Texas and recently the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.  Our Troop will continue the adventure with a trip back the  Swamps of Louisiana in 2019.

If Eagle Scout is your goal, we have the resources to help get you there.  Troop 626 has had over 31 Eagle Scouts since it's inception in 2010.

We represent Scouts from the communities of Sauganash, Edgebrook, Wildwood, Forest Glen, Albany Park, Jefferson Park, Irving Park, Avondale, Portage Park, North Park and Rogers Park/West Ridge. All boys between 11 and 18 years of age are welcome to join our troop.

Our troop meets most Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM from September until June in the Queen of All Saints School cafeteria, located at 6230 N. Lemont Avenue Chicago, Illinois 60646.

Our Dues for the 2019 year are currently $65.00

New Registration is currently $75.00 for the first year.
